All eyes on Apple. Our spys have news of a possible new product launch.
Our spys have been out and about and our spy sources are have become very focussed on Apple as it prepare to launch its latest product. There is much speculation that this new creation will be a tablet computer.
At 1800 GMT today (Wednesday 27th January 2010) Apple will hold a news conference at its headquarters in San Francisco to launch the new product. Our spys have been out and about and it looks like the new product will be a keyboard less device in the form of a tablet device.
Apple is working hard to keep this new device under wraps but sources are hinting it is a tablet device which will bridge the market between a smartphone and a laptop / netbook.
The tablet industry is an emerging market with revenue of about £597m but industry specialists believe that if Apple do release a tablet style device it could do what the ipod did for MP3 players. We all know that Apple are one of the best product designers around. Apple tend to keep their new products closely guarded until they are launched but our spys also tell us that this new tablet device will be a gaming device, an “e-reader killer” or a really big iPhone. Multi-touch will be at the heart of everything. The tablet is also expected to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi and 3G cellular networks. The new device will have a full browser and access to more than 125,000 software applications found in the Apple App store.
Spys tell us that Apple has reportedly been talking to publishers to bring books, newspapers and magazines to the tablet as well as to broadcasters to bring TV shows and movies to users.
We here at Gizmo Spy are really excited about this new launch and Apple boss Steve Jobs is also helping to feed the rumours. Mr Jobs said on Monday: “The new products we are planning to release this year are very strong, starting this week with a major new product we are very excited about.”
